Well, I am not a historian by training, so I should hope not. Think of our walks as part-London admiration, part-group therapy as we reflect on our collective past. We skip the dusty dates and dive straight into the juicy stuff: the money, the colourful characters, the geopolitics, and the messy, inconvenient truths that connect the Empire’s past to your life right now. We also try to have fun (jokes, pub quizzes, roleplaying - you name it!) along the way, so you leave with a smiling face, a warmed up brain, and an energised heart.

Our walks are typically 2 to 2.5 hours, which includes a walk at a reasonable pace (like a WW1 convoy). There are often opportunities to sit at some of the spots - we try to find the most picturesque options! We will try to make sure your personal preferences and foibles are taken into account, and the steps you’ll get in will of course be rewarding too

Normally - yes. Most walks are accessible and pet friendly. Please let me know if you have a specific consideration that I should take into account.

We are in London. It’s going to rain. Our walks run rain or shine. So, check the forecast, wear sensible shoes and rain/sun/wind protection. We'll only cancel for something truly exceptional, like a Met Office Amber/Red Warning, or a pandemic (noooo, don’t even think about it). happens. If you cancel at least 48 hours before the walk, you’ll get a full refund, no questions asked. As for no-shows? We’ll keep your money. Consider it a donation to the cause of making history less boring.
